The manual indicates we can enter text with a map note, but doesnt indicate how to do it. I suggest that in addition to being able to write a note on the map, the map marker should indicate the time of the mark, and when bearing and range info is sent from the sonar or radar to the TDC, a map note indicating the time, range and bearing should be automatically placed on the map at the correct position, to simulate the manual plot kept by the fire control team.
