Default Anyone else notice the boat seems to ...

stay at the exact same depth on the surface and not follow the swell, makes the boats look like they are tied to rails and not a bouyant thing in water

Yea, it's rather annoying after coming from SH3 and GWX (where, if you were vulnerable to it, seasickness was a possibility). Apparently, there's a way to MOD this with tweaks, but no one's actually released a MOD for it yet. Some of the typhoons I've run into in SH4 make for some interesting possibilities.

I've sort of noticed this too, I wish it were a little bit different, I don't like using custom made tweaks for this kind of thing though, I recall tweaks to fix various things with silent hunter 3 that just made something else work incorrectly or wierdly instead.

Dev's should model this a bit better methinks, Nothing beats sea sickness at your computer desk.

The effect in SH3/GWX is fabulous; you feel like you're really out there "down amongst them", rolling and pitching heavily. SH4 has shown some monster rollers that bring visions of some Hollywood aquatic disaster movie, but....when the sub levitates over the deep valleys instead of plunging down the sides into the next roller, it blows the immersion.

Yes, and not only that, but the periscope seems to be completely stabilized, even though the check option is ON (has no effect, I checked it)

The TBD has vertical pitch, but no horizontal roll..Heck, nothing has horizontal roll..

Did anyone add this to the bug list?

Just got done running a patrol in the Soloman's. Rough seas most of the time, so the sub was using it's magic levitation device to smooth the ride. Anyway, during a surface attack on a couple of old split freighters, I discovered that my sub was equipped with Tomahawks! Well, SH4 Tomahawks....I followed one of my fish to the target and found it flying between the valleys in the rollers...about 50 yards a shot. I would say it was a good 6-10 feet above the water at some points, lol.

I noticed that the vertical pitching was not necessarily linked to the sea state, almost as if it was randomized. On one instance, the periscope view was stabilized while in heavy seas. On another instance, it was going heavily up and down while the waters were as smooth as a baby's skin...

And the deck gun doesnt pitch up and down like sh3 so once you dial in the range you can just hold the button and fire till the ship goes down.in sh3 some of your shells would pitch up way over the target and some would hit the sea right in front of you, which of coarse even in light seas is way more realistic.

This is a bit annoyance of mine. I've already started a mod request thread (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=109763) to take care of it as I, personally, have no clue how.
