USS Tautog
I have just sank my first ship, a medium composite. Took her out w/ my gun. saving torps for bigger ships.
 Here is a pic of the aftermath.

Congrats.
 My first ship was a small split-something or other freighter... used all my forward torps before I figured out the TDC, so then I used rear tubes to sink it...
