Default Ok, I cannot turn the hydrophones or radar. Whats up?

I honestly have no idea what I am doing wrong, but I cannot turn the hydrophones or radar when the radar is on focus mode.

With hydrophones I try to click the direction handler... the one that is turning when I am not at the station myself. Nothing happens. I have clicked about everything now and only thing I can do is use the sonar (ping the distance and send it to the TDC)

Bug or an incompetent captain?:O

Use the Home & End keys.

The hotkeys weren't listed on the hotkey card for some reason.

The radar has some problems with it.

For example, with single radar (air search) installed you can not switch it on (the 3D control is has no effect and a mapping a key stroke doesn't work) or see it operating but your AI crewman can still use it to report surface and air contacts.

Sorry, I meant what Nefarius here aswered. I couldn't turn the bearing of the hydrophone. The home end keys did the trick. Thanks a lot!

Thanks Ryuzu too

So this means we can guide the sonar sweep with the mouse pointer like we could in SH3? We have to use the keyboard?

I think I found a bug here on top of no mouse control. I clicked on the sonar screen thinking I would be able to direct where it points. Instead, my view turned to the right (as if looking right) and stayed there. I could not get out of that view no matter what I tried.

I always preferred the control on the keyboard, so I don't miss the turning wheel in 3d view. They just moved the hotkeys and didn't inform us.

Assuredly, the radar controls are still almost non-existant. At least the crew can use it.

Just read this over at the Ubi Forum.
Sonar will not work with the boat at periscope depth (S-class, haven't tried it on other boats yet). You have to dive below 53 feet for it to operate. The sonar depicted on the F8 screen also shows "RADAR" when you pass the mouse over it.

Yours, Mike

The big question for me is, has anyone figured out how to adjust the volume on the sonar station?

Why, yes. In the options page under "sound". Move the the "sound" slider to the right.

*cough*

I was messing about with that putside PH when I spotted to US Cargo ships, no sound contact on the surface and I took her down to 15meters no contact 16meters no contact as soon as I put her at 17meters.. boom I her there screws in my headphones.

USS Drum , the new command I got as I had sunk so much tonnage, you don't need to take the newer version. But I did , but be warned! you take your crew with you but you have to Buy the bigger deck gun and twin AA gun and radars over again.
