Having actually READ the manual last night after playing, the Torp info issue is resolved. Having spent time with the interface, the Range and Speed and Ship ID issue is resolved. Some things are still missing, the lack of Watch Officer support, the Navigator information, but I'm learning to use the map to work out ranges and just guessing the range of my sub - which gets easier as time goes on. I'm happy, it was just a culture shock with all the changes, now I'm over that - I'm enjoying the game for what it is, and it is a damned good Submarine Simulation. Sure there's alot that needs to get added, and there are some tiny bugs left - here I think I got lucky, having only CTD'd once when pressing "A" by accident ![]() But the first time you run into that Task Force, see them Carriers... see the US counter attack... I'm really enjoying it. Don't write it off too soon is what I'm trying to say

How did you resolve the 'range' issue? I can find an order for 'time to end of plot'...which is kinda silly, as the time is listed right there on the waypoints. Nothing speaks to 'range at current speed', though, which...as you mention, given the distances involved is a REAL pisser. You are basically guessing at any given moment how much range you have before running on fumes.

The range, angle, speed of the ship you're targeting are under the "Settings Keeper" tab when you're changing your torpedo settings... I'd never bothered to look before, assuming it'd be full of settings for advanced users
![]() Anyway it's all there, name of the ship is at the top ![]()

Im loving the game playing on 100%.
These are the only things Im not happy with after playing two days solid. ![]() #1 Sonar guy: needs a note pad with all listed contacts - He only wants to rattle all contacts off once then I can only track closest target. #2 Sonar guys tracks upturned life boats as Slow moving targets ![]() #3 Deck gun seems a little too powerful. Other than patch 1.01 not loading working for me:hmm: Im very happy. ![]() |
