Default CTD

I’ve had two instances of CTD. Both times I was in the navigation map and using the depth gage (lower right of screen). One time, for sure, the clipboard was open and moved low in the lower right corner.

I have patch 1.1 installed no modifications and my spex are as follows:

P4 @ 3.4GHz, XP SP2,
3.25GB RAM,
ATI X800 PCIexpress W/256MB Ram

Any ideas?

Did you "reinstall" the game before you patched it? Agreed, it's a pain, but there were several players stating that they had CTDs when clicking on the depth gauge and reinstalling the game and then patching it worked.

I will give that a shot. Thanks Neal

By Jove. It worked. Magnificient!

I uninstalled SH4, kept my saves.
Reinstalled the game. Applied 1.1 patch. Loaded up my patrol and Viola! I can dive using the gauge without CTD!

Hooray.

I haven't been able to resolve this particular frustration. I went thru all the steps except saving the saved files, I deleted those. I used sober's suggestion and ran the CCLEANER also. Still no joy. Please help!
