The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. - Edmund Burke
I think they have taken this advice to heart.

Gah, bad move. The last people who should suffer are the soldiers, they're not the ones who screwed up.
Bring in withdrawal legislation, by all means. But don't tie it to funding the war as it stands. Like this bill will be signed into law anyway ![]()

Bush will veto it, and the Senate will confirm the veto. Then, it's back to normal, I guess.
One thing I've noticed is that nobody is pushing for a more aggressive change in stratagy in Iraq. They all only want to pull out. They love defeat, I guess.

Yep - way to go guys! If you think we took the high road and did whats right out there, or even if you can find fault in what it is we did out there, you still have an obligation to fix it. Am I off base in that idea?
If I'm not, then what the hell are the Demo's doing then? Having a pity party? -S |

When it comes to the Democrats, they are very passionate and devoted when it comes to capitulation and surrender to the enemy. That's for sure.

It's political maneuvering to make the war a defeat and then claim that it ws doomed from the start. In reality, this will simply be another vietnam when the politicians will sell out the soldiers to buy the votes. And we'll know who to point the fingers at if we lose this war.

I wouldn't call it another Vietnam, but if politicians keep it going, it may resemble it in some ways.
What ever happened to the old days where our country would go to war, and the politicains would just say: "Ok, win it for us!" and guess what? We won Every Single Time. Just leave the fighting to the military. Politicians don't need to micromanage and deside the objectives of war. You loose that way. Always.
