Default Petition UBI Soft for 1 small patch?

I was wondering if the SHIII fans think its worth petitioning UBI to remove starforce disk check? I have "Codename Panzers two" and they have a legit patch out that eliminated the need for the CD! Its a 100% legit patch, and so if one software developer was willing and able maybe if we ask together, they'd be willing to do that for us.

Thoughts??

Whats in it for UBI?

If nothing, then it won't happen.

We should worry about a patch that included wolpacks not removing starforce.

Any civil request on the company from legitimate buyers who simply want to be sure their DVDs do not get killed is worth considering. Seeing that UBI has already dropped Starforce in SH4 and that SH3 has hit the bargain bins, I can't see anything wrong in asking politely. After all, there is nothing to loose.

I'm all for this, but to be honest I can't see UBI taking it up as there is already a solution to this problem out there albeit an illegal one.

I would like to see a patch for SH3 that removes the SF thing. As of now I cant play the game as I upgraded to Win64. The SH3 copy protection doesnt work on Win64, so either I have to fix up a partition for normal windows OR play the game with a no-cd-patch. Starforce supports win64, but it is up to Ubisoft to release a patch that supports Win64, but that is not very likely.

But, if there is a petition, I will sign it!

The problem that 64bit users have just because of a copy protection is unacceptable.

I would advice all those poor fellas,to search for *********.It works fine,at least on 32bit,so i guess in 64bit too.I doubt Ubi is interested in supporting SH3 anymore. It's all about marketing these days.SH4 is out,so that's their main concern now. They don't expect any more money from us,so why should they bother?

What i would really want is a patch that fixes the "blind crew in fog" bug.

Please refrain from discussing circumventing the copy protection in an "illegal" manner

There is already a SF removal tool available from the SF site and a 'no cd' patch which shouldn't be that contentious provided you've purchased an original copy

It looks to me that there is enough good cause to at least ask, but ask me must in full force. I in no way desire or endorse (been around too long for that nonsense) any pirating.

So I will start a thread that is strictly a sign-on and post one word "Yes" thread. I would ask the moderators to assist me here and if any spew monkeys start any B-S to delete their posts. if we can come up with about 500 posts that would be awesome and I will make sure that it gets sent to the proper UBI managers.

Thank You!

Frank

With so many super-smart people who frequent these forums, why hasn't anyone gone to Google and searched for Starforce Removal Tool.
It's NOT an illegal patch....it's not illegal to download or use....

IT'S A LEGITIMATE REMOVAL TOOL PUT OUT BY STARFORCE THEMSELVES and they authorize this company to make it LEGALLY available to ANYONE AND EVERYONE who desires it.
This thing has been out for MONTHS and freely available!!!
