Is the TDC placed on the left of the navigation table historically accurate? I know that the TDC in the conning tower is but what about the one in the control room?

Watch Das Boot again. There are plenty of shots looking aft at the Navigation and Attack stations. If they have one, then it's probably there. I would think they would need it in case they had to conduct an attack using the observation 'scope, anyway.

I just finished reading "Iron Coffins", and the impression I got was, that the VIIC had only one TDC in the conning tower. The thing in the command room was only a second dispay which showed the TDC settings, not a real second TDC.
