Note to all. The GWX version 1.02 Patch is an official update.

Special thanks to JScones, Rubini, Bigboywooly and all involved in spearheading this effort in my absence. (Still backing up my HD prior to full reformat.)

What do we do if we installed the Dec.23 hotfix via the JSGME? Do we just deactivate it prior to installing 1.02 and problem solved? Thanks.

:hmm:

@Firewall
The exe is 79.5mb so run with that one

@ Fish40
Just answered this in your other post
:rotfl:
Rollback SH3Commander
Disable ALL mods through JSGME
Install 1.02 patch
Dec 23rd patch will be deleted anyway

Default newbie question

Is the rotating radio DF that automatically appears on the type VII and IX part of the 1.02 upgrade or did my install go wrong somehow? Is there anyway to disable it? Thanks in advance. I love GWX.

Just installed the patch, then the mods that I was using, plus the version of the dials to his update of GWX, and pronto, works fine.

Before, did what was told, rollback sh3commander,deactivected all mods, then removed the MODS folder from SH3 folder.

I find this a bit odd. I just spotted a cargo ship at 8500 meters. The thing is, at 8000 he manages to spot me! Its daytime and i'm on the surface, but theres no way he can see that far. Just to check i took the external view over to the merchant ship and looked back at me. I looked very hard but i couldnt see my sub anywhere. At night, i'm nearly invisible, but during the day these guys are crazy. The year is 1939. so radar isnt coming into play here.

I also installed the 16 km atmosphere mod.

Says who? The merchant crews have lookouts with binnoculars also. On the whole, with GWX they see better then stock by day and worse at night. If you want to attack by day you'll have to do it submerged, or else follow him at maximum distance and attack after nightfall.
