Default Mines near Lock Ewe?

Man, its the second time i get my sub destroyed in misterious circumstances by flooding at N NW of Lock Ewe i got caught in a storm, heavy fog and rain i dived to 20 25 mtrs to try to maintain a straight course (Manual navigation) and to listen for any warships that may be at the area i was surfin at 128x when i got the message we are taking damage, i surfaced consult the damage report and the torpedo room is heavily damaged and flooding and also the forward quarters and some hours later the sub sinks and carrer over . What it was mines? Does anyone knows of a minefield in the area? i already had my sub a bit damaged because i ran into land whlie i was navigating near scapa flow (dead reckoning navigation with zero visibility), but i came to the conclusion that it only could be a mine. In regard to the weather ive been reading lots of threads of people complaining about several days of bad weather, but in my game the storm only lasted two days, im using the latest version of SH3 Weather, dont know if that influenced.

Sounds as if you did hit a mine. If you want to be sure, open campaign.scr in the mission editor and you will see the locations of the minefields.

There is also the possibility that due to bad weather & TC you have actually had the bow of your U-Boat plowing the sea floor. It happens.

That is out of question, i was in the deep zone Nw of Lock Ewe of 100/120 mts below keel. And even if i did hited the seafloor i was only travelling at 2kts, couldnt have made such damage.
