Default Questions about LWAMI 3.06

Just want some confirmations on LWAMI 3.06:
1. Do i have to set .ini setting to 100% to have a realistic nixie behavior(torp exploding on nixie). But if i do this won't i be setting that for the tins countermesaures aswell?

2.Are all the fixes in 1.04 is also included in LWAMI 3.06?

Thx before for replying

Never mind LWAMI 3.06 comes with JSGME. Easy to instal and uninstall

I'm fixing the issue with the Nixie and other decoys. In the next version of LWAMI, it would be best to set the .ini file to 100%, so the NIXIE works as it used to.

In terms of 1.04 and LWAMI 3.xx, they cover different things, so there wasn't much I had to do to update LWAMI for 1.04, although I still managed to miss a couple the first two times around.

Cheers,
David

Why I launch four SS-N-27ASW at 10,15,20 and 25 miles and nothing launch any torpedo?

Why in helo at 23:00 pm whith clouds at 150 ft , the Helo at 200 ft, and rain at 1700 yds.... say "visual contact" of a Submarine under 80 fts underwater ?

1) I've fixed the SS-N-27 and SS-N-16 problems for the next version (available today, hopefully).

2) Aircraft have FLIR and other visual detection gear that allows them to see shallow submarines in bad weather and at night. The fact that DW failed to model this correctly produced the absurd situation where a submarine could be directly under a helo or aircraft with all it's mast up, and not be detected visually. This was simply wrong, and has been corrected. The detection ranges for submerged submarines decreases significantly at night or in bad weather. The actual depth at which individual submarines can be detected, depends on their height.

Cheers,
David

Great work Luftwolf. Thx a lot for the mod. Btw why is the 65 torpedo now only able to attack surface targets. This is supposed to be realistic? If so God the west has got big advantage with their superior noise dampening, superior sonar sensor and now superior weapon. Thx again. Hope you'll get that nixie done. It would be sweet.

The 65-76 torpedo is THE gold standard for ASuW weaponary. It's a wakehomer with a very long range (50nm @ 30kts, not currently modelled, but will be LWAMI 4.xx) and a massive warhead. One shot is more than enough to sink a Tico and two such torpedoes will sink a Nimitz (in game).

These weapons were originally unguided, and carried a nuclear warhead, the 65-73.

To replace the 65cm that was in DW originally, the 53cm has been converted to the latest Russian wireguided torpedo, a 53cm torpedo called the UGST, which is roughly equivalent to the ADCAP.

So the ASuW capability of the Akulas has been increased (realistically) by some margin, with some small sacrifice of ASW capability in terms of wireguided torpedoes.

Cheers,
David

Luftwolf,

You should release a single version every 6 months.

Ive just downloaded your 3.07. Nice improvement over 3.06. The thing i like most is that now the AI is more challenging. Sinking them would actually feel like something now.
