HI,
I just completed my fifth patrol in a IXB boat U-122. It is time to upgrade to a type IXC for the better range. Upon completion of the patrol, I exited the game, re-entered it via SH3 commander, and after fiddling with the crew, I upgraded the boat. Problem is it still says it is U-122 a type IXC boat. I can't seem to change this in SH3 commander either. Any ideas?? HB |

Just FYI, you should always upgrade your boat/crew before leaving on a new patrol. It would have been ok if you had done a 'turn around' after entering port. You might fall foul of the stock bug where you recieve no renown.

It says U-122 IXC on the crew allocation/ damage screen, in SH3 cmdr interface screen, etc.

Can you change the U number via the SH3Cmdr interface? You should be able to randomise it or choose your own, when you're in port/docked. ![]() I think that as SH3Cmdr applies extra/new U numbers it now has priority over SH3's method of assigning them. Example - http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/screenshots/SH3CMDR.gif If you clicked on U-650 you could enter a new number.

- Boat numbers don't change when changing boat types - they stay the same (an SH3 thing) - SH3Cmdr doesn't interfere with the number SH3 allocates, however it does allow you to override the SH3 generated number...but this must be done manually by the user. But in doing so, SH3Cmdr provides more control by allowing you to limit the number used to actual numbers for that type and Flotilla. |

I did that one time, but apparently SH3C thought because I changed the number I actually got a new boat. Not a biggie but a little bit confusing. ![]() |
