Actually, it looks like a Virginia.

Nice find BTW, I'm surprised Google is still in operation.

Enjoy information freedom while it lasts gentlemen.

Cheers,
David

This is in Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. More than likely, it's the Jimmy Carter since she's stationed at Bangor to take the place of the Parche. Also, if you look to the southeast, or two piers to the right, and two piers to the left or SW, you'll see an Ohio being retrofitted for SSGN on both piers.

Actually the 'stubbiness' of the aft propulsor wants me to say that is a SW class alright, but the lenght to diamter ratio is too long to be the Seawolf or the Connecticut. She's most likely SSN 23 to have that sorta lenght to diameter ratio for a SW and that is the Jimmy Carter's homeport (Bangor, WA) whereas the Virginia is actually homeported on the opposite coastline (Connecticut).

Shes the Jimmy Carter most likely.

EDIT: Sonar732 beat me to it

Nice find. Boomers all over the place, some LAs two and further SE is an old decommissioned sub reposition.

Ok, I just added some names to the list of people I'm going to email when I need help adding new platforms and weapons to LWAMI.

Thanks for volunteering.

Cheers,
David

PS Psych. (Of course, if you want to, I could really use all the help I can get)

You know what would be neat... if google would add to its maps water depths so that we could see how deep the coastlines are (is there an online website where all the worlds coastal water depths are displayed?

Right now, I'm trying to figure out what the 'pointy' boat is on the left side of old Sturgeon and 688's.

Old Sturgeons?!?? OK, you've now really piqued my curiousity. I didn't know any Sturgeons or Permits(Threshers) were still intact.

Once there is stable version of the next-gen LWAMI that has all the features I want in it that work properly and the general consensus is that it is at least as playable as LWAMI 3.xx, I plan on adding at least as many platforms as SCX had (although not necessarily the same ones or in the same way).

Then, after that, depending on what the situation is, I may dupe the database into three versions, Cold War, 2010, and 2025, and make the appropriate changes to playable platforms and weapons, etc as well as non-playables.

It's a three year project on top of the two I've already put in.

Plus, Xabba and a few others are doing GFX mods, so it really depends on SCS FINALLY giving us a stable version of DW that isn't full of obvious and annoying bugs and people still having the interest to play DW, and DW could really have some legs.

Cheers,
David

If you look at the photo closely, you'll see two boats on the east side of the 'bunch'. They are clearly at least 30-60 feet shorter then the ones next to them.

Well I'll be darned. How cool is that. It would be a good thing if the Navy could gut one of these older boats and make it into a Cold War memorial museum or something. Kind of like they did with the Nautilus. Thanks for pointing it out.
