Thanks so much for the help with the Channel question.

I have searched the forums for about an hour looking for more detailed information than the manual gives on crew management - specifically, what is experience? What locations on the U-boat rest officers and men? How do medals and qualifications help? I understand in a general sense, but not specifically how one manages the crew during a patrol and how long it takes them to recover endurance etc.

Also - it seems like the online manual is down...and this is probably where you point the nuggets when they ask questions. Is there any mirror of the old manual site, or a text/html/pdf doc somewhere?
