you should never play above x256 TC as aircraft will never see your boat.

Hi Mate,
I am a fan of 1X however I am retired and have the time to do it. I have taken a week to complete a mission. I have two GWX loaded so on of them I will run at 1X and on the other one I run at 1024 getting to patrol area and then 128 0n search pattern during the day and 256 at night. If you run greater then 256 during the day you are bait for aircraft. Keep me posted on how you do at 1X. |

Since I work quite a few hours each day and I have stuff to do (for work) once I'm home I don't have the time to play at 1X. Usually I play at 512 or 1024 and I drop it to 1 when I'm close to targets. In GWX though planes have spotted me at 512 and 1024x

The same for me, for the same reason.
Never had problems at 1024x, unless near harbours. |
