I knew this would happen. Its funny really, some friends in school said they searched for the Kremlin and got a big smear, instead of a proper view :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, if it isnt Google earth, then there will sure be another thing. With the technology the world posesses today, noone can be safe. Ordinary people have gadgets today that would make governments & intelligence agencies go crazy if they existed in 1980..

In France the mapping agency open a site ( www.geoportail.fr ) but in all map/photo/images there are distorsions especially near nuclear powerplant and all military or strategic site are blank but on the other hand the precision is very good (<1m).

I can see the Kremlin fine.

Also I am questioning the accuracy of the report. Unless the photos were taken in the past couple of months and a lot of the stuff seems a couple of years old, apart from the location which would hope with approaches I can't see how much more info they could get. I bet they could get more from being on the ground.

Also suing google earth if they get injured. I don't know if I agree with that. Soldiers should then sue newspapers who have inadvertantly leaked info the enemy could use to make a strike.

A rediculous premise....as if there wasn't a hundred other ways to obtain the same information/data.

None as cheap (nearly free), easy and anonymous (untrackable) as Google Earth.
