GWX: No deck gun ammo?

Strange problem, sometimes the deck gun has no ammo at the start of the mission. At least during the stock "Gibraltar" the sub has a DG but no ammo?? Similarly the first campaign I tried (before the crash) a VIIC from Brest in March 43, I added a DG (I know a bit stupid at that time) as it didn't come with one...but there was no ammo. Is this done on purpose? How do I make sure ammo is added?

The only icon you should have is the HE icon
Click on that to load the gun

The HE isnt selected straight away to model the need to prepare the gun for use
