Default GWX single mission: Iceland

Loaded this mission up and my boat starts the mission surfaced right next to a destoyer (practiaclly on top of me) and surounded by other hosile war ships, one of which was a Revenge BB i think. Needless to say i got crap kicked out of me in a matter of seconds, I think something is wrong here.
I havent had time yet, but i will open this mission up in the editor to check it over, later tonight.

Yes, I brought this up during the Beta Testing, it's not one that I favour. I use alot of the single missions to take pictures of my skins and post them on the forum. I was trying to get some icebergs for my winter skin with no luck. The iceberg single mission before you enter the forums at Subsim made my game crash, so I don't favour that one either

Will the "January 31 update" be a complete, new game download or will it be a patch like the one on December 23?

Thanks

Just a quick question. The December patch is installed through the mod enabler right??? I am 99.9% sure that that's the case but I'm asking just to be sure

Thanks in advance

Will the Jan 31 patch include the Dec 23 patch?

I copied and pasted the Dec 23 patch to SH3 without any mod enabler. Will I be able to do the same with the Jan 31 patch on top of the Dec 23 patch or will I need to reload the entire GWX on a clean SH3 install and then go directly to the Jan 31 patch thus skipping the Dec 23 patch? Does this make sense?

Thanks.

@BBW
I had the same problem if you recall but I'm nearly positive you sent me an updated file that resolved the issue :hmm:
It's certainly playing okay now

Yeah I guess with all the file exchanges that went on - some of the updated ones missed the boat
I know Scharnhorst did and so did Iceland apparently

Yeah the fixed one was ok

You should really have used JSGME - thats what its there for so you can unistall if necessary
Having said that it will work the way you did it but it makes removing next to impossible if you needed to

I believe the Jan update will be JSGME too - dont quote me on that lol - so you can just add into your existing install
No need to reinstall

If it does contan the Dec 23rd updates then it will just overwrite the original - no problem

Thanks for reply. It would be nice to know if the Jan 31 patch will be all inclusive. Then I can delete the Dec 23 patch which I have saved.

As for the JSGME method, I'm really not familiar with the way to use it. It was easier for me to copy and paste all folders in the patch to SH3. As far as uninstalling a mod, I've had lots of practice with reinstalling the entire game from scratch and then I know I've got a clean install.

I played this mission and I too got the crap shot out of me, so I altered it a bit, moved the sub back a little and made the height -12 and works a dream.
