Might be the wrong forum, but:
I'd like to reinstall a clean vanilla SHIII so I can play online, but I want to keep the old one because of all the tweaks I've done to it. Can I simply rename the current one "SHIII2", or some such, then do the vanilla reinstall? |

Get hold of Multi-SHIII which lets you have more than one install running. You will need to follow the instructions carefully to avoid messing things up.

Mmm, I don't need 2 instances running, just one at a time.

either way the Multi-SHII instructions will assist in getting one back on a playable footing after changing the names.

Just rename the SelentHunterIII folder to anything you like then whack in the DVD
Hit install then repair And you have a fresh install which you can then patch Rename that to MP or something so you dont get mixed up |
