Default BSOD while playing GWX

This was completely random and unexpected. I was in the middle of a rather fruitless patrol in 1939. I finally came across a convoy in AM53. It had a Southampton in it. I attacked with a 3 torp spread. Every ship lit up like a Christmas tree. I was getting ready to attack when my scope was spotted. I started to take a little damage. All of a sudden I got a BSOD! Scared the daylights out of me as that has never happened before - ever. I did notice something about an ati3duag.dll being mentioned. I hope it isn't anything serious.

Ooppsss... Wrong forum. How can I be so dumb?! Can a mod move it?

I just sorted a disturbing crash/rebooting problem I was having that turned out to be related to the beta video drivers I was using for my video card - updated to the latest video drivers and the problem went away. Since the error message you're getting appears to be video driver related, you might want to start by updating your video card to the latest drivers if you haven't already. Might not be it, but it's probably worth a try.

Good luck!

I had this when I put my new video card in my new computer. Get the latest drivers.

I updated the drivers. I hope it works. This has never happened before - with Rome: Total War, Age of Empires III, SH3 (stock, modded, or GW), or any other game I have (Well, I guess that's about it ). Could GWX have changed that much that newer drivers are needed?
