When your mood matches your avatar...

Anyone else felt their avatar and title suddenly really, really fit them?

Me, I'm stuck with exam preparations, homework catch-up, worries, and sleeplessness from my sleep rhytm turned upside down. I've also reached the age of 21, and with my current back pain... Well, lo and behold...

The Old Man

Sigh, you said it, Radio Room. You said it.

Welcome to the sleepless club.

Maybe we could try counting fjords: http://www.fjords.com/gjestebok.php?side=4

So there's thousands.

Ok I'll start: One fjord, two fjords, three fjords.......four fjords............five fjords..............six fjords..............................

...

Argh!

What the hell are you yapping at baby-face?! You think you have back pain? Your fancy rhythm is upside down!? You just wait untill I'm finished with you to see what turning upside down is all about! Now to the floor now and give me 50 you dirty bilge-rat! You're gonna fill the entire company's canteens with your own damn sweat! Now start sweating trooper!

Ooops! Sorry, wrong image!

Keep it up Viking-man. Make this crazed bizzarely tanned norseman proud.

(ok, I need to improve my motivational skills)

I know how you feel mate.
I am overloaded with work and exams, but additionally I have a buch of serious personal problems, that I am trying to resolve. I almost never sleep anymore, I can't, and when I sleep I somtimes sleepwalk and do very dangerous things.
I am waiting in line for a psychiatrist, but in this country you have to wait really long. If there is an avatar of a pirateflag with a skull on this forum, then that is the way I am feeling.

Default Exams

I too am writing exams now - really hard ones too. (So far I have written 2/5, including my hardest one). I feel pretty depressed right now too, but nowhere near as much as some other people here. I imagine I'll feel better when exams are over I can fly home again. I hope everyone else here eventually starts to feel that way soon - I can't think of any more advice to offer at the moment.

I'm in a pretty good mood actually, since I 'graduated' from that stage where they have exams (I'm a masters student at the moment) And I just finished all my final papers.

I feel the pain of you all academics though. In the preceding 5 days, I pulled 3 all-nighters just to finish my work, and the reason I disappeared off the face of Subsim for the previous couple of months is also a schoolwork+work overload.

That said... have I not said somewhere before that I've always felt like 22 going on 40? :p It's a strange thing, but I can't think of a time in my life that I didn't feel older than I actually was.

As for the back pain... I blame the chair (stupid kitchen chairs I used for the past 5 years instead of a proper office one). I'm counting on Santa to save me this year

S-K, how do we change and keep an avatar we like? I don't see a way to do it in the User CP. Or, do we have to ask Neal?

I believe a custom avatar comes with a donation to Subsim

Well, I finished up all my college work back in 1988. Therefore, life is somewhat stress free and I have always slept like a bear in hibernation.

Now as far as the avatars and feeling like it some days.....just don't feel like the Navy Dude avatar....NEVER!

If this has made you laugh, great, just wanted to make ya feel better with all the school work!

I have never felt like the transvestite applying lipstick.

Other than that, I'm cross-trained between the radioman and mechanics.

Yes, I'll feel way better when exams are done. Got some personal problems at my end, too, but I don't feel like posting them here. I'd post them at my livejournal if I had one.
