It would be interesting to have WaW capaign where the XXI became available earlier to see how much extra tonnage that a serious XXI campaign could have generated.

A nice bit of what if fantasy play. A way of mixing extreme reality with revisionist history.

If you happen to come to Germany you might want to visit the Deutsches Schiffahrtsmuseum in Bremerhaven. They have a type XXI (the Wilhelm Bauer, U- 2540) that you can visit!

hyperion2206, did You visited already the U-2450? In anatomy of a ship, the type XXI, was written before the reconversion of the Wilhelm Bauer tower to U- 2540, the autor said that it would be wrong because the interior of the ship would't macht. Do they redun the interior to be like the original Type XXI?

I was rather young when I visited U-2540 but I think that it looked like the original.:hmm: But don't take me up on that.:p
