How to install new aircraft?

I am running SH3 with GW 1.1 (Can't wait for GWX)

I have successfully installed additional ships into my SH3 world and would like to use some of the addon aircraft that are available.

Ships were easy (Drop them in the correct data file, add copy and paste the config file to each nation and then add the name to the Englishnames File)

I haven't found a very clear explanation as to how to add aircraft to my SH3 world, can someone post some easy to follow instructions?
