Default Help me decide what base...im confused

I need to start a new carreer and I would like to start with a VIIC or VIIB (with the ability to upgrade to a VIIC). Am I correct in assuming that if I start in the 2nd flotilla that I will start with a VIIB but be unable to upgrade to a VIIC? Im clearly a little confused by all of this if someone could help me out.

Thats the link ive been looking for, but it keeps timing out. Is that info posted anywhere wlse that you are aware of? Also since I have installed the GW Supermod and tried to start a new carreer both the 7th and 1st flotillas are based out of kiel in 1939 even though it says that the 1st should be out of Wilhelsmshaven. Is there a bug or am I missing something? Thanks.

Still cant figure out why with GW Supermod the 1st and 7th flotillas are based out of Kiel in 1939. Anyone else had this problem? Also, isnt it possible to get an IXD or IXD2?

I don't know about the two bases in '39'. As far as the U-boats....you need to earn those swab! You get these through earning renown and it helps if you know Donitz personally Anyway, you get renown for sinking enemy vessels. Friendly and neutral vessels give you negative renown. Going all the way back to your home port gives you renown. I do not believe shooting down airplanes gives you renown but it is fun!

You do get renown for shooting em down but only about 50, unless you get into your config files and mess with the settings.

Still shooting down airplanes is not as easy in GW as it was in the original game

Far more realistic. Whenever a plane apears I dive as fast as I can

I prefer brest or st nazire as its easy navigation out to sea im not used to heavy navigating with the U boat yet but i know full well i can do it in the akula.
