Personell Files: Keep or throw away?

An original thread idea for you: What do you do with the Personell files SH3 Commander creates for you? Personally, although I probably shouldn't, I just delete mine when the captain dies.

It'd probably be a better idea to keep them, though, maybe I even could print the files of each commander when he died or retired and put them in a binder or something for reference later. Only problem is I don't know how interesting it'll really be to look back at, except to "compete against myself", trying to beat records and what-not.

What about you? Do you bother preserving your records, or are you more of a "the kaleun vanishes"-type of person [wonders if someone will get the book reference]?

I never throw anything away. I'm a collector.

I am in therapy.

I keep 'em. I even name my commanders alphabetically by the first name so they are in the right order when I look at them in the folder.

SS, you mean packrat. :rotfl:

Save them and compare your new careers to the old ones. Then you can see how sloppy you get on the hunt.

Surprised by how many of you hold on to your files. Guess I should, too.

You know, I never thought about it, before. I can't really think of a reason to delete the files, really.

I keep mine for posterity (or sometimes to remind me how stupid I was at the time in taking that risk) :hmm:

I only keep the files of careers that I actually play out. If it's two patrols or 3/4 of the way up the Kiel canal and then I delete everything and reinstall I don't even bother saving my career file. But the good ones I keep. I still have my first patrol's crew files and commander's papers and such. It's from some old old version of SH3 Commander, back when they were saved as notepad files.

I print them out and show them to women at the bar.

I go home alone.

I never even use the personel files because I have yet to finish a war.

What you need to do is make sure to offer to show them how great you are at torpedoing ships!:rotfl:

hmmmmm, maybe not.

Keep em sometimes scupper them sometimes. Depends on the mood I'm in.

Never show them to women other than AvonLady, SheGeek or Cybagirl cos they are the only ones who would understand and appreciate them. When do you find time to go to bars?

Always. I keep the historical ones to compare against the current one and trend whether I am improving as the war progresses (I commence a new career in the month following the end of my previous career).

I'm an analyst, ya know.
