Deutsches Kreutz
Hello!
My captain was awarded with DK after his 5. career. The problem: He hasn't been very succesfull yet, got two ships (15'000 tons) in his 3. patrol - nothing else. Also the date is strange, I think DK was awarded since september 1941, and my captain got it allready in Jan. 1940!! I'm using NYGM Tonnage war 2.0 + Cmdr 2.5. What happened, is not a big deal, but sure I'm curiouse what's wrong. I thought the award system was fully repaired in NYGM. Thanks for your time! Greetings, -RC- |

Hello
I haven't used NYGM so I don't know about the awards system, but I think you can sort out the awards that you want (crew, correct dates etc) via SH3 Commander. Good Luck |

Yeah, the game doesn't model historical medal availability dates and I doubt any mod can fix that (apart from fudging the award criteria to make early awarding less likely). SH3Cmdr does model historical medal availability dates, but only in the context of medals awarded to crew.
Heck, in stock SH3 you can move the boat six inches out of the dock and exit the patrol and find yourself promoted and with both the EKII and EKI! Last edited by JScones; 11-03-06 at 07:39 AM. |

Thanks, both of you!

Yeah, have seen that happened. Would be nice to know what causes that, but maybe we'll never find it out. But, as I said, that's not a big deal. It's just immersion, your medals in the box are not as "valuable" that medals for the crew are - for example. -RC- |

I really like medals in SH1. You could get more then one of the same time and then they would kindda "stack" on each other. It lookes really nice

Yep!
After two more ships sunken, my captain is now awarded EK I + II + DK + badges, and sugar in the bottom was that he was promoted Korvettenkapitän! Hah, after 4 ships and 20'000 tons. Well, I left a post into the mod forum because of this. Let's see if anyone of communitys specialists would like answer. Maybe the reason is that I docked in Wilhelmshaven few times in row and not in Kiel which is my home base. -RC- |
