Default Who uses supermods, and who plays the stock games?

I was wondering what the overall percentage was of the whole mods thing? You play one of the supermods, like GW or NYGM, or do you play the stock game? Or maybe the stock game plus a few small mods? Whatchya do?

Speaking of GW, what's some ways to figure out if you got a critical hit on the ship? Sinking takes FOREVER now.

Sinkings takes a while as the GW mod uses the NYGM damage model that means ships sink by flooding rather than just blow up
Aim for different areas of ship
Ships can still explode if hit in the right areas
The damage model is all new in GWX

(#3. Is that the quickest off topic reply ever? And for his own thread too.)

I will play whatever my damn system decides is appropriate and will not crash the lot or judder to a standstill at any given moment. I'm really not competent enough to decide what is best for me (thats obviously my PCs job).

Only had a computer capable of running SH3 properly for a couple of months so I'm running normal SH3 with a few mods but no supermods yet!

Was on patrol last night, sank 4 ships, different sizes, most went down with 3 torps max, some with great explosions, my only complaint was sinking a larger cargo ships and not getting credit for it. I was in rough seas, no ammo left, it was shooting its deck gun at me, but I did see it sink , but no credit.

Great patrol though, enjoyed using the ship recognition book as far as setting torp depth and switching to impact rather than magnetic detonation.

Looking forward to GWX.
