Default Passing U-Boats

As a "real submariner" i was wondering today how many sunken u-boats I may have passed over the last 15 years serving in the Royal Navy. Im going to try and find a worldwide chart of sunken u-boats then i will have a fair idea, then the next time im at sea and pass close to one I can spare them a thought, as all submariners are a member of a brotherhood, even the enemy is my brother if he serves in a boat beneath the waves.

I think the figure is... 3 out of every 4 German Submariner's in WW2 lost his life.

That makes me feel quite guilty, to think on my last patrol we sat in the messdeck watching DVD's, playing cards or laying in our comfy bunks reading books.

Im pretty sure german submariners had similar things to help pass the time.

You might find this intresting:

That is 72,22222222% (the 2's go on forever). But that is over the years. I can remember the year, but when the Allies ASW was at it's peak, 9 out of 10 submariners didn't survive.
