Exclamation SH4 Widescreen 21:9

I've a real itch to play SH4 again. I reinstalled it with the FotRSU mod and it looks great on my 34'' monitor which is naturally 3440x1440, although I set SH4 resolution to 2560x1440. However, the stadimeter readings are way off and therefore I'm guessing that any measurements done with the periscope will be way off also. Does anyone have a workaround to get SH4 to work properly with a 21:9 aspect ratio? And if I play at 2560x1440, is this truly a 16:9 ratio on a 34''monitor?

There have been two people of late reporting that the stadimeter is "off" in FotRSU, since in the Stock game they find that it is not. I do not have the issue on my computer, but it might be influenced by the display. I have a 4k 32 inch monitor that is 16:9. Windows runs at 3840x2160, with a 125% magnification of the desktop elements (for my eyes). I have SH4 running at 1920x1080 full-screen (again for my eyes). Running at 2560x1440 is 16:9, but how does your display handle it? My 4k monitor can run at 2560x1600, which technically is not 16:9, but the screen physical dimension is 16:9... I do not know how or what it does to the game at that resolution... A 21:9 monitor would probably have to be run in letter-box, else the monitor will stretch things horizontally, or crop the top and bottom of the displayed image. Neither is desirable. YMMV...

Thanks @Propbeanie. Yeah, I think the issue is with FoTRSU. I uninstalled it and installed TMO BH with OTC and everything works as it should...other than random crashes. This is with 2560x1440 in game settings and 3440x1440 windows resolution and the OTC patch for 16:9.
