Default Dive planes set for steep dive.......

I remember there was a way you could set the planes for a steep dive before by pressing ctrl+D or something, and the planesmen would basically keep the planes in "dive" angle meaning the sub would keep on diving until you gave the order to stop.

I'm running TM 1.5 with the Uboat Add ons, and I there doesn't seem to be a way to do this anymore.

Granted, I can order a crash dive, but that orders a pre-set deep depth. Has this ability of being able to manually set the planes for a deep dive been removed?

Thanks guys

If memory serves me correctly, i changed that functionality back to radar depth. To go below 450 feet, the depth gauge in the conning tower near the helmsman is a 600 foot clickable gauge.

I had just loaded up TMO 1.6 I think it was and started a war patrol in 44.
Balao class boat. I'm sailing along just experimenting with things and saw a button on the orders bar saying "Set planes to deep dive".
Gee I wonder what this does, click, no problem but I forgot I was at about 32X TC. By the time I figured it out and hit 1X I was at 730 feet.

The boat some how survived but I was much more careful about clicking buttons.

That was too fast even for the CPU to figure out your mistake.

Returning to the subjetc,

When you click 'emergency dive', it is preset to dive to 40 meters more or less (i use metrical) but once the dive has started, you can simply correct the dive depth. I to this all the time and noticed no effort from the crew to restore to a 'normal' dive once I adjust the depth.
