Batch file & Random Environmental Settings for DW
Hey I was just thinking….
IIRC luft mentioned that somehow you can include random weather, seastate, time, etc by editing some file of some kind. Is there a way to: 1.. Make variations of this file, let’s just call it the env.file, so as to each have random environmental settings 2.. Make a batch file that will run dw and randomly select env.files previously created. 3.. Release this file to the public and include this batch file with future map releases. If so… then I’m thinking we can have random environmental conditions each time DW is loaded for any map of choice. |

This idea has been floated before, and no one has ever to my knowledged posted anything for public use...
It's a great idea, and certainly would make some MP scenarios a bit more replayable, although the same thing can be done by duping the mission file and making a set. Cheers, David

I'm working on this topic and the code is ~60% finished. Hope, that it will be available by next month, but don't know.
The functionality, which I described in my former thread (in the main forum), will be reduced. I don't plan features like environment configuration of different regions anymore. I'll let you know, when the tool is public available. |
