SH1: The AI is unforgiving...
I was in a day submerged attack against a little convoy of 3 freighters with 2 destroyers in a picket formation...150 feet under, engines full stop.
The destroyer passes over me, I was facing it at the opposite course , so no angle for a sonar detection from him. Seconds later I went to 1/3 speed planing to go to periscope depth, I was about 2000 yards from the freighters. Then ... BAM...All ships change course, the destroyers heading towards me asap, the ping concert also starting immediately. Wow... SHCE (1.3), Difficulty: 60% with Realistic Charts Off and Limited Visibility Off to watch destroyer tactics. I'm really surprised that I got detected immediately, especially because I was in the destroyer's baffle with only 1/3 speed ahead. Last edited by XenonSurf; 04-16-20 at 03:09 PM. |

Nope, I should have done this, but I thought 1/3 speed at 150 would be enough stealth. At the very moment I made this command I was detected BTW, watching how the destroyers act was very instuctive, but I got killed anyway 1 hour playtime later... This game can still pump my nerves Greetings, XS |
