Dev Twitter Dead?
Just a quick question, I stumbled on this game just by chance and loved what I saw, I'm a massive U-Boat fan and game artist, so seeing a indie group making a U-Boat game, well it got me exited, it is always nice to see what my fellow game artists/devs are up to, however when I checked out their twitter I found out its dead since June, so the basic question is, what happened?

What Twitter? Where do find a Twitter link? We aren't using Twitter.

If its your's or the dev's and it's outdated, ether ask for it to be removed or renew it and continue using it, it will prevent confusion
Give my complements to the team btw

Ah, I see. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm sort of an anti-twitter person, so I don't keep it up. Will be updating here, FB, and Wolfpackgame.com but not Twitter.

Yeah I use twitter a lot, hence how I found it, use it mainly for work/self promotion, talking to clients and fellow artists, it does the job, but I'll keep my eyes open on the project here from now on

No offence, but I think its a bad decision to dismiss twitter as a viable marketing platform, especially when compared to Facebook. Last edited by cherbert; 09-27-16 at 08:23 AM. |

I've always seen Twitter as a social media platform geared for high volume-low content traffic, for people or organizations who need to push out a lot of information. It just doesn't have relevance for what I'm doing. And I am not interested in trying to generate a lot of tweeting just for the sake of adding to the chatter. I know, the trend is to add every possible social media outlet to the arsenal of PR and churn out a steady stream of "information". I've asked myself, some time back, if I want to be part of that, and the answer was no.

That fine, most game studios have PR people handling social media, but as you say, you don't have the time, but remember twitter is a social media outlet aimed at businesses, big and small, so ones the project gains more momentum I'd recommend reconsidering using it
As Long as you dont go the no-mans-sky route you have my blessing Cheers, Jim
