Canadian and Kuwait have just directed their citizens to leave Lebanon immediately.
1. Canadian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family in Lebanon. You should leave Lebanon while commercial options remain available. 2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait issued a notice tonight (Saturday) to its citizens staying in Lebanon to leave the country as soon as possible. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on anyone who cannot leave Lebanon to immediately contact the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in the Lebanese Republic via the embassy's emergency telephone number – 0096171171441. Meanwhile… The new U.S. Embassy compound in Beirut was finally completed at a cost of $1B as conflict between Hezballah and Israel continues and nations begin evacuating their staffs and encouraging their citizens to depart.
