And the flak gun, for that matter?
Stock SH3, using the deck gun was pretty easy. As long as you had the range right, and were pointing in the right direction ![]() In TGW 1.1a however, it's not so easy. For one it seems that the shells are less effective - or maybe because the damage model has changed? There's also a longer reload time, and the AP loadout has been removed (historically, U-boats carrid only HE shells). Also, there appears to be some sort of lateral error introduced. Whereas previously the shell would hit about where the centre of the cross hairs indicate, now I find that the trajectory can have a horizontal error too. The effect is that shells land either to the left or right (by a significant margin) of the cross hairs. Why is this so? I also find that the shells would occasionally fall short or go long - I suppose this is to simulate the effect of a rolling, pitching deck? What about the flak gun? Previously I could sink trawlers and tug boats using the flak gun alone. Now I can't. What's changed? ![]() I'm not complaining, but I just want to know so that I can change my tactics accordingly. :hmm: |
