Yup, there they are, I checked them out a while back, there's about three there, isn't there? Took me bloody ages to find Bandar Abbas. Take a look over at Chinas Xia too, that's sitting in Drydock over at their subbase at Jianggezhuang near Qingdao along with what looks like a couple of Hans and Kilos.

That's a similiarity between Iran, Russia and Chinas submarine fleet....it seems to spend most of its time in dock.... :hmm:

In some cases its because there's no high res imaging of that area, in other cases it's because the area is militarily sensitive, see Faslane for an example.

Good question, you can also see Bangor and the Ohios sitting there. I don't have an answer for that one, but I'm glad that they're not censored. For a good example of censoring, check out the hills around NORAD.

My earlier quip about the Russian fleet spending all its time at dock seems to have just been proven wrong...I just scrolled down the Northern coastline to Gremikha...errr...where's the fleet gone? I see lots of capsized civilian shipping rusting at dock, and a couple of subs but...I thought Gremikha was the SSBN port of the Northern fleet, or have they transferred all ops to Murmansk and Severomorsk?

Look what I found over at the Northern fleets decom site:

There used to be a 'phoon at Murmansk but they must have moved it, it was tied up next to the Kuznetsov.
