Errr...A Tanker is now a OTMS?

Morning gents.

Recently installed a mod(Merchant skins pack) w/JSGME mod installer and all my merchant ships suddenly changed names on me. I'm seeing KSS, KSL, KGN, OTMS, OTMS2, etc...

I tried disabling the mod which I thought caused this but to no avail. Any help?

Looks like your englishnames.cfg (or txt - I'm away from my home computer) got deleted or renamed. If you used JSGME, you should be able to restore the file. IIRC it's under the Sea folder.

Yep.Those weird names are "code-names" given for ships used in the campaign files or zones.cfg .The cause is probably,as the person above me said, deleting the englishnames.cfg file or over-writing it .The mod might have done that ,but it shouldn't really mess with that file.
In the englishnames or germannames file you should see something like OTMS=Large Tanker or ABC=X ship type.

First you have to check your EnglishNames.cfg, it should look like this

minus the ships you don´t have In the same folder you have the folders for all ships, open them and check that the class names in their .cfg are the same as in your EnglishNames.cfg. Then go to ..data\Roster folder and open the ..Sea folder in every nations folder to check the class names in the .cfg files. Also, if you use SH3 Commander you should go to ..SH3 Commander\!BACKUP\data\Sea and Roster to check the files there. Good luck
