I don't have an answer for you, but I do want to say however it looks great. I hope you can fix this problem, this will be a useful screen. I normally play SH3 in the dark anyway, and some screens tend to hurt the eyes, especially coming from a darker screen to a bright screen.

i'm not compleatly shure but i belive the black entries come under fonts?.within the file you mentioned?:hmm:

hmm :hmm:

it should be possible to change the font color, take a look to ingame messages the apear

withe and orange... the hardest part is to find this entries in the menu.ini blocks

I know it might be to ask for too much, but you couldn't make all the graphics on that screen, including the sub profile look chalk-ish, could you? Then instead of compartments changing colours, you could have these "colour chalk" graphics over them?

:hmm: i dont thing so, but i will give it a look

BTW i found the entries in the menu.ini to change the font color :p
