Default Dammage, what dammage?

Hey guys,

I've just loaded a saved game which had my boat submerged less than 2kms from Merthyr. Within seconds of loading, a noise that can only be described as static deafend me and I started to take dammage. Almost as quickly as it started, it was over with my deck and flak gun dammaged? I had a sneaky view outside the boat and couldn't see anything that could explain what happened. At first I thought I'd been rammed but the nearest boat is 1.2kms away!

Should I put this down to sabotage?

Whenever you load a saved game immediately after loading your boat suffers the damage sustained earlier during the patrol. It's the way SHIII handles damage. The boats starts undamaged, then SHIII applies the previous damage.

That horrendous screeching sound has to do with there being a subnet in the vicinity. You can get rid of the sound by going into you main SH3 data folder. From there open the Sound folder. Look for the Collision_AntiSubmarineNet_int sound file and you can delete it if you wish or move it elsewhere.

yep!

... or you can reduce it's play volume by editing it with Windows sound recorder.

It is also fixed/corrected by the GW mod.
