After figuring the interface out, I'm doing my first patrol with Grey Wolves. I'm very impressed so far with the sim. Most immersive sim I've played IMO. Passing NE of Scapa Flow on my way to BF-15 in July 1940, and I have a few questions by now (of course):
1) I've got the 16KM dark atmosphere loaded with JSGME. But... it doesn't seem very dark to me in the dead of night. In fact if I didn't look at the time I wouldn't be able to tell it's night. If I've done something wrong would I be able to change this mid patrol? 2) Any maps out there showing the location of minefields/subnets at friendly ports? Thanks, PD |

Try the LIGHT version, it's pretty dark at night for me. Something tells me they mixed them up.

If you have GW installed in the Nav Map F5 in the uper left corner you should see 3 pages you can drag down. The first is the one you'r looking for in regard to Friendly minefields. The second and 3rd are speed/distance tables. you may see the Seite 1 and Seite2 only and the first page is the most left un marked one.
About the Darknes, i have 8KM light installed and sometimes i don't see more then the Bow of my Sub. So yes it should get darker. The darkness is also depending on the Moon, Overcast, Fog and Rain. |

Alright, now I know I've done something wrong. I changed the textures out to the light version and it's darker and looks how it should be at night. But it looks the same way during the day too. Can anyone explain how to fix this? It can't be that I have to change out the texture set every time the sun sets or rises. Please help, pretty big immersion killer.
![]() edit: I'm referring to switching between the light/dark 16km texture sets with GW. thanks, PD |

With the 8KM light everything works as it should. When the sun sets...It get's dark and vice a versa. Any ideas why? A video card issue perhaps? I'm running an Nvidia 7600GT, 84.21 drivers.
