Default NAVIMAP MOD V 1.0

Hi guys!

Now i will release the Version 1.0 of my Navimapmod.

README:

This is Navimapmod V 1.0

This is very important to read and include those things shown down.....

Just use the Folders with the ModEnabler or copy the files in their Folders.

With this Navimapmod V 1.0 u will have on your Navigation Map these Things for Drag&Drop in the upper left & right corner:

-Sperrnetze.tga = The Mine- and Netfields from Rubini shown the important Harbours from Axis trough
war. All Credits goes to Rubini!

-Kompass.tga = A good looking and a little bit overworked Compass for the Map! Very usefull to see
quickly the course of ships. All Credits goes to Wazoo!

-TabelleMin.tga = A Tabelle in Knots per Kilometer in Minutes...

-TabelleStd.tga = A Tabelle in Knots per Kilometers in Hours.... All Credits goes to FLB Minks!

-KonvoyMap.tga = The SHIII Konvoyroutesmap coming with the game just smaller and size is smaller!

In the Attackmap u will have this:

Kompass.tga = The same like in Navigationmap!

In the UZO, Periscope, ObsPeriscope u will have this in the upper left corner:

-Flaggen.tga = All Flags and nationalities of shipping in the game. All credits goes to PACO454!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And also included my overworked RAW File with shown Seanames, geographical things like Dogger Bank etc...
Those things are only visible or showed in the smallest 3 Zoomlevels outside!

If u don`t like it, then just delete the RawMap1 Folder. All Credits goes to Beery!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Follow the steps down here!!!! These are important entries for the mod!

When done, just test it and have fun!

Best wishes Sale

================================================== =====================================
================================================== =====================================

Editing your own positions of the TGAs:

You can edit your own positions while only set them on other place.
Example:

[G2B I140]
Name=Target;Neuer Eintrag für Flaggen
...
...
...
Pos=-1700,765,1024,768 (This is the important line and only this for changing Position!
The last two numbers are the Size of the TGA, and the two before is the
Position where it will lay in the Screens, goes from down left corner!
Example: -1700 Horizontal Position in Screen and 765 is the vertically
Position on screen!)

(IMPORTANT if u have Mods like the Nomograph installed!
Z must take a look on the Blocknumber ( Example: [G31 I20] )
If it is alway used by another Mod, so just give the New ones the next following Numbers like here: Original Entry [G31 I19] another Mod has [G31 I20] so u must rename the new blocks to [G31 I21];[G31 I22] etc. ..... That`s all)

================================================== =======================================
================================================== =======================================
================================================== =======================================
================================================== =======================================

Just by side:

Don`t know if there is a mod like that but here again.....

Edited the Maps.cfg in the data/Menu/Cfg Folder to get the Zoomfactors and visible names and shown Harbours inside the F6 TDC Map.

Just do following
Open her with notepad and just insert this behind the last block at the bottom of the File:

ZoomLevels=1,2,5,10,20,50,100,200,500,1000,2000,40 00,10000,20000,40000; meters per pixel

CityZoom=10000;city names are displayed from this zoom down
KriegZoom=2000;krieg labels are separated displayed from this zoom up
HarborZoom=50;harbors will be displayed from this zoom up

This is the Original Block:

[Map1]
MapID=Attack_map
Position=0,0
Resolution=1024,768
MajorSqrs=4,3
MinorSqrs=5,5
PixPerUnit=50
ZoomLevels=1,2,5,10,20; meters per pixel
InitialZoom=2
SymbolZoom=10;units are drawn as symbols from this zoom up
GroupsZoom=20;units are drawn in groups from this zoom up

It has then to look so:

[Map1]
MapID=Attack_map
Position=0,0
Resolution=1024,768
MajorSqrs=4,3
MinorSqrs=5,5
PixPerUnit=50
ZoomLevels=1,2,5,10,20,50,100,200,500,1000,2000,40 00,10000,20000,40000; meters per pixel
InitialZoom=2
SymbolZoom=10;units are drawn as symbols from this zoom up
GroupsZoom=20;units are drawn in groups from this zoom up
CityZoom=10000;city names are displayed from this zoom down
KriegZoom=2000;krieg labels are separated displayed from this zoom up
HarborZoom=50;harbors will be displayed from this zoom up

small but nice thing for the TDC Map

============================================

Ok, the whole in Pictures:

The compass is very usefull....

Also usefull in the F6 TDC Map....

The Tabelles is also nice to have for plotting catchup courses etc.

Example: The Ship is moving 6 Knots, so it will left a distance of 2.777 Meters in exactly 15 Minutes!

Also the Tabelle in Hours, working the same way like in this example: Convoy is moving 6 Knots and will left a distance of 111,1 Kilometers in 10 Hours!

the mines and Netfields of all Axis Harbours are also interesting and very helpfull Tools for rewarding you of ugly meetings with mines while leaving Ports....

The convoymap is nice to have inside the game...

Plotting Course and Convoyroutes is now easy to look at....

Also the Flaggen are helpfull if u have to recognite the right nationality of a ship u wanna attack....(Also shown the Entry Dates of the nationalities....

At last the small addition for TDC Map if somebody wants higher Zoomlevels, Harbours shown in map or both of them....(Just edit the Maps.cfg in your data/Menu/Cfg Folder like shown above....)

That`s all.

Download it here (Included all TGAs and a Important Readme:

Just use it with the ME or copy all in his Folders.
http://rapidshare.de/files/9102155/N...dV1.0.zip.html

I hope somebody likes it.
This Mod isn`t finished! There is much more possible to add or include there! If anybody has ideas or suggestions, everyone is invited to built it out!

Askings or Problems should be postet here, please! I will help where i can.

Best wishes Sale

FLB,

As usual an awesome work!

Some questions:

1. We continue with the possibility to move the map with the mouse and the arrows keys? (i think that i read something about this issue somewhere...)
2. In the "map mod" we can see the geogrphical names in more zooms levels like in RUB? (i think that i read something about this too...)

Thanks again!

Rubini.

Hi Rubini!

Yeah that`s right.

I reworked the Blocks for the Menu_1024_768.ini File and now the Original entries will not be touched!

The Scrolling on those Maps will be the untouched and like it is

the installation of the New entries are easy, too.
No searching and inserting in the Blockpositions anymore, just insert the new Entries at the Bottom of the Menu_1024_768.ini and your done. It works great without a difference like isnerting them in there Blocks.....

The other thing i don`t know about visibility in higher Zoomlevels.

Only if u mean that we can easily edit the Maps.Cfg (like for higher Zoomlevels postet above) and insert only more Zoomlevels inside!

It is very easy:

Look here....

POST:

Ok i think i solve one ,,small" problem with readability of some words inside.......

You now the 3 Zoomlevels now for the small Map (8,89MB)!

You see it only so:
This is the normal Zoomlevel how it is now and where u can Read it, a little bit hard, but u can read it...:

So i just gave them 2 ZOOMLEVELS more to the Map! Now u can zoom 4 times inside with the small map (8,89MB) and all is visible:

And the same i did for outside max Zoom! U now the maximum Zoomout in the Map:

But now u can zoom a little bit more far away..... (If u wanna see the whole half world )

We can adjust/add/delete the Zoomlevels we want! I didn`t notice that before, just tested something and found out (easy one) that we have all Zoomlevels to edit for free

It was very easy....

Just open your Maps.cfg in your data/Menu/Cfg Folder, then u see
this down under:

[Map0]
MapID=Navigation_map
Position=0,0
Resolution=1024,656
MajorSqrs=4,2.4
MinorSqrs=5,5
PixPerUnit=50
ZoomLevels=1,2,5,10,20,50,100,200,500,1000,2000,40 00,10000,20000,40000; meters per pixel
InitialZoom=500
SymbolZoom=10;units are drawn as symbols from this zoom up
GroupsZoom=100;units are drawn in groups from this zoom up
CityZoom=10000;city names are displayed from this zoom down
KriegZoom=2000;krieg labels are separated displayed from this zoom up
HarborZoom=50;harbors will be displayed from this zoom up

[Map1]
MapID=Attack_map
Position=0,0
Resolution=1024,768
MajorSqrs=4,3
MinorSqrs=5,5
PixPerUnit=50
ZoomLevels=1,2,5,10,20; meters per pixel
InitialZoom=2
SymbolZoom=10;units are drawn as symbols from this zoom up
GroupsZoom=20;units are drawn in groups from this zoom up

Just add or delete or make new Zoomlevels for [MAP0]! That`s it.

ZoomLevels=1,2,5,10,20,50,100,200,500,1000,2000,40 00,,10000,20000,40000;

I have added Zoomlevel 7000 and 60000 inside

Then the line looks so by me:

ZoomLevels=1,2,5,10,20,50,100,200,500,1000,2000,40 00,7000,10000,20000,40000,60000;

I have also done this to the data/Terrain/TerMaps.cfg File,too.
U see this file:

[TerrainMaps]
MapsNo=3
InitialZoom=40000

[Map1]
Format=raw
Resolution=4320,2160,10000; map width,height(in pixels) and density(meters per pixel)
ZoomLevels=60000,40000,20000,10000,7000; meters per pixel
Tiles=1,1
File=data\Terrain\Maps\Map1\4320_2160.raw

[Map2]
Format=raw
;Format=rle
Resolution=21600,10800,2000; map width,height(in pixels) and density(meters per pixel)
ZoomLevels=4000,2000,1000,500; meters per pixel
Tiles=1,1
;Tiles=9,18
File=data\Terrain\Maps\Map2\21600_10800.raw
;File=data\Terrain\Maps\Map2\Tile_%03d_%03d.rl

[Map3]
Format=data
Resolution=216000,108000,200; map width,height(in pixels) and density(meters per pixel)
ZoomLevels=200,100,50,20,10,5,2,1; meters per pixel
Tiles=360,180

Don`t know if it is a must to edit also that file, too to get the zooms to work!? But i did it and only this line:

ZoomLevels=40000,20000,10000; meters per pixel

(that is our small Map for these 3 Zoomlevels u see! I have added 2 new Zoomlevels inside)

Looks now so:

ZoomLevels=60000,40000,20000,10000,7000; meters per pixel

That`s all, test it Beery. So u could make only one new Zoomlevel like i with 7000, that u can read the text a little bit better

And on this way u can edit your own Zoomlevels.....

Ok, i think it could be interesting for Beery, because the added 7000 zoomlevel is really good. So u have a smaller zoom like u see on the Screenshot where u can read much more better the words and Texts....

Greetings Sale

Outstanding! Great work as usually, FLB sale U-999!
My download process is starting.
Could you tell me before reading readme.txt if your mod is compatible with RUb 1.45 and HT?

Hi jaxa.

Don`t know but should be compatible with all Mods!

Because those TGAs are complet new TGAs and the Blocks u have to insert in your menu_1024_768.ini are ,,NEW" blocks!

So if there is any Mod u have For Example which is using the Block [G31 I20], then just renumber the new ones to [G31 I21] and so on.

the last number is important IXX]

This looks like a fantastic piece of work!

But I'm afraid to toy with my CFG files.

I hope this will be included in the next RUb mod.

Good idea, The Avon Lady.
It will be fantastic to see this mod in incoming RUb 2.0.
(without any problems with editing files one's one hand).
