First post, Hello everyone!
There's something wrong with vlad-buoys. They cant hear anything if the range of target is more than 1 nmi. It should be something about 8 nmi, if I remember. This problem have occured since I updated to version 1.3 |

The main thing to consider is the acoustic conditions! What was the SSP in your scenerio?

SSP? The conditions were quit normal. I have tested this in many missions, such as gulf breakout, mh60 demo etc and still the same; my vlads doesn't work. In gulf breakout I dropped vlad and difar to same spot, or at least as close each other as possible, and then went away at 8 knots. Result: difar heard me much much longer than vlad as I went further away from them. And in mh 60 -demo mission, I turned "show truth" on, and watched as the freighter and victor III passed the "finish line", and vlads didn't hear anything.
Does anyone else have this problem with 1.3 patch? |

Well, there are new depths for the VLAD which can cause two types of problems. First, they might be sitting on the bottom, in which case they'll hear nothing, which is what is happening in the demo now.
Also, it might end up on the wrong side of the layer, in which case detection ranges will be reduced.

Thanks for the tip. So how deep there have to be that vlads work correctly?
EDIT: Found in usni reference. Huh! It have to be at least 600 ft. |
