Finding the sea legs

I am ettling in to this great adventure, using basic settings to get an understanding whilst not having too much to work out.

Some of the detail is impressive, down to the flight of the birds.

In an effort to get good beginners practice of navigation, torps and evasive actions, I join a single mission and take off in a different direction plotting a route which entails interesting fare and good training for the crew.

At the moment I am being hunted around the estuary off Liverpool and I must say am seeing the "silent running" option operating to its max.

A fine thanks to all who have posted ideas and thoughts. All this is very helpful to the new skippers!
