Default BdU is trying to kill me

At least that is the impression that I get. It's March '44. Counting the patrol I just started, my last three grid assignments were AM97, BF24 and AM97 again. Thankfully, I am operating out of Bergen in my XXI and have a schnorkel, but I get the impression that Onkel Karl doesn't like me.

I remember getting the same patrol asignments. Late '44, early '45 based in Bergen with my XXI and Bdu was telling me to patrol between Ireland and Britain

I'm re-reading Iron Coffins.

Trust me...BDU isn't actually trying to kill you quite yet. When you get the order to ram enemy ships...then they are indeed.

Died in my first campaign last night in the channel looking for a few small fry to take out with my last remaining torpedos before returning to brest. Took a potshot at a destroyer and missed by the skin of a gnats cock. He proceded to dump a few depth charges down my conning tower. Trying to decide if I should start afresh or reload a save, not much honour in reloading but I was doing rather well!
