I am using auto crew, and each time someone fires a torpedo I hear torpedoin the wayer bearing XXX. But I don't see where the torpedos are??? why?? Also does auto crew suck so bad that it never really fully classifies contacts?

The TIW are sometimes outside of sonar range, unfortunately... this is a "feature" that SCS put in. On the plus side, it is significantly better now in 1.03b than it was in 1.0/01 as far as I can tell.
All in all, I don't so much mind it to be honest, but it is something that should be tightened up in the future, I think. The autocrew sonar is pretty bad... you are better off doing the sonar yourself. Keep in mind that even if you were doing the classifications you often have to work and use intitution based on the situation to actually classify a contact, since many ships have similiar narrowband profiles and similar DEMON. You might want to start on the Kilo where you only have two passive arrays to worry about and often can and do have to use the other sensors like ESM or periscope to confirm the sonar information.
