Default 6th_torpedo_for_Typ_IID Mod

I read that AOTD Modpack contains one mod that gives an additional torpedo to the Typ IID.

1. Did this happend in real life?
2. Where can I find this individual mod? (only the torpedo mod)

Thanks

More reliable sources than the manual, such as uboat.net, give 5 torpedoes for the type II, not 6. I think that mod can be found at realsim.

U-Boat.net shows the type IID was designed with 5 torpedos. Whether any were modified to carry 6, I have no clue as I did not check each boat to see if it was noted or not.

Thanks HW3 & booger.

I also read uboat.net...But there has to be a reason for this mod, apart from gameplay. Let's hope that someone can tell us if there is some historic relevance.

I think i've read somewhere that early in the war some Type II carried an additional fish on the torpedo room floor to have a little more hitting power, but the additional weight make the boat hard to handle.
If only i find that book...

Its actuallt quite easy to do in the basic.cfg file yourself...

If you scan about 1/2 way through that file in the data/Cfg folder you will see the ammo loadout configurations for the various submarines for each year. The format is quite obvious...
