Default submarine sound problem

I have a problem where sometimes I start a scenario as a submarine, not helo, FFG, or Orion, and there is no sound for the submarine. No crew sounds, no sonar sounds, no weapon sounds. When I exit out of the mission and try and start a new one, the game locks up during the loading screen. I have to shut down my computer at this point.
When I start a scenario as the helo, FFG, or orion, I always have sounds. I then exit out of that mission and start a mission as a sub, then usually there is the submarine with all sounds working.
This is a strange nagging problem that may have something to do with my sound card, which is the internal sound that came with my computer.
If anyone has had a similar problem, would you let me know how to fix this? If so, perhaps this problem could be addressed in the up coming 1.03 official patch.
Thanks for any input and help.
-merry christmas and happy new year

Internal sound card? Probably integrated sound chip My advice would be to buy some cheap REAL sound card, because even the cheap one (try Creative Soundblaster Live!) is better than those integrated sound chips, which from my experience cause LOTS of problems and have overall negative effect on computer's performance

What are the improvements of REAL soundcards over the integrated stuff? Just saying that it's "better" doesn't influence me to buy one.

They do not tend to cause problems

However i dont try to influence you in any way, if you dont have any problems then there is nothing to solve

Oh, now thats different question, before it seemed to me that this is gonna turn into a flame war

It depends on what you are recording, from what are you recording it. Maybe the static noise comes from the device you are recording from? I remember Creative claiming that Audigy has high signal to noise ratio (like 102 dB or such...) but that is all i know here

Try turning the volumn down and/or checking the connections to your recording device.

There isn't any sounds at all when I start a mission as a submarine. I can play the game, but there are no sounds.
As anyother platform, the sounds work just fine.
I'm not sure if a new sound card will work or not. Today, I couldn't play the game at all as a submarine. I even tried my "trick" by beginning a mission as another platform, then quit, the started as a submarine but no sounds at all.
thanks for all the input

Bought the sb live 24-bit and installed in my computer.
Loaded game and sub sounds are all there in their thunderous glory.
Thanks for all the help, I'm glad that this is not a problem anymore.
thanks
Happy New Year
