Invest in wood stoves, in ten years from now the UK have the same climate as Greenland now the gulfstream is slowing down.

It's hard to advise, I'd buy gold a fewyears back, but it's pretty expensive at this point... Buy low, sell high is the idea, so look for companies that are undervalued and by those stocks. That means you have to research the industry you like, and pick companies of your interest and start analysing. Look at their ratios, return on equity, their leverage, and their projected growth. Project cash flows, and in the end compare what the company is telling you, and what you see yourself. It's fun game, but if you do it yourself and do it well, you can be very rich. Don't buy into those 'investment' shows they have on TV - most are just entertainment and of little value. Telecoms as far as industries go are doing pretty well, check those out. |

I seem to remember there being a 'stockmarket game' you could play on your PC using realtime market data (or something like that), basically as a training tool to get used to the idea before you start using your money for real.
Can't remember the name of it though.
