Default Campaign question

Hi all, I have wanted to start writing a campaign and I have figured out some questions that I will need answered and was hoping you guys could help me out.....

Question:

1. Can I change the uboat type I start with in the campaign? and where do I change it? What directories is it, and under what files?

2. Can I change the date from which my campaign starts, or is it auto defaulted at Sept 1st, 1939 and we are stuck with that?

3. Can I change the grid assignment I'm given on each patrol?

Any help would be appreciated.....

There are two files that need editing to support this - Basic.cfg and Flotilla.cfg. The complexity of changes depends on what you are trying to achieve - ie changing a VIIB to a VIIC is easy, but starting in an XXI in 1939 requires more changes. It's a tutorial in itself, which I won't go into here. However, the next release of SH3 Commander will allow the captain to select any U-boat type that was available to the selected Flotilla up to the chosen campaign start date.

SH3 Commander allows you to start campaigns in any month of the year from 9/1939 through 12/1943 (5/1945 if you have the Flotilla or RUb mods installed). Note that it is an SH3 limitation that careers will always start on the first day of the month.

Default hi

I clicked on that link, and it said "no website can be found" is there another link to SH3 commander mod?

Also, when installing this mod, do I have to be in port during the campaign so I don't loose the patrol stats?

and if its possible, can you tell me the directories to go to and change the things i mentioned above?

Thanks man,

Hornet
